Published: August 16, 2026 ยท Updated: August 16, 2026
Pal Souls are a permanent upgrade system that lets you boost your Pals' stats at the Statue of Power. Unlike passive skills (which are random), Pal Soul upgrades are a guaranteed way to make your favorite Pals stronger. This guide covers everything you need to know about Pal Souls, including how to farm them and which stats to prioritize.
What Are Pal Souls?
Pal Souls are consumable items used at the Statue of Power to upgrade your Pals. There are three tiers of Pal Souls:
- Small Pal Soul โ Common, drops from low-level Pals
- Medium Pal Soul โ Uncommon, drops from mid-level Pals and dungeons
- Large Pal Soul โ Rare, drops from high-level Pals, bosses, and chests
Statue of Power
The Statue of Power is a buildable structure that serves two purposes: upgrading Pal Souls and offering Lifmunk Effigies. It is unlocked at Level 6 via Technology Points.
Materials to build: 20 Stone, 10 Paldium Fragments, 5 Wood
Once built, interact with the statue to access the Pal Soul upgrade menu. Select a Pal from your inventory and spend Souls to upgrade its stats.
Upgradeable Stats
Each stat can be upgraded up to 10 levels. The cost increases with each level.
- HP (Max Health) โ Increases survivability. Prioritize for tanks and frontline Pals.
- Attack (ATK) โ Increases damage output. Prioritize for combat Pals.
- Defense (DEF) โ Reduces damage taken. Useful for all Pals, especially in boss fights.
- Work Speed โ Increases the speed of base work tasks. Prioritize for base workers.

How to Farm Pal Souls
Small Pal Souls
- Catch and release Pals: Every time you catch a Pal, you get bonus XP and items. Releasing captured Pals gives Small Souls.
- Low-level Pal drops: Pals like Lamball, Chikipi, and Cattiva frequently drop Small Souls when defeated.
- Gatherable nodes: Small purple crystals on the ground can be gathered for Small Souls.
Medium Pal Souls
- Dungeons: Each dungeon boss drops Medium Souls. Run dungeons in the mid-level zones (20-40).
- Mid-level bosses: Boss Pals in the desert and forest areas drop Medium Souls.
- Mining: Ore nodes in the mid-level areas sometimes yield Medium Souls.
Large Pal Souls
- Dungeon bosses: Endgame dungeons (level 40+) have a high chance of dropping Large Souls.
- Alpha Pals: Defeating Alpha Pals (the larger versions on the map) drops Large Souls.
- Oil Rig chests: The Oil Rig endgame area has chests that contain Large Souls.
- Tower Bosses: All Tower Bosses drop Large Souls on defeat.
