Oil Rig Endgame Guide

The Oil Rig (Fehu Breakwater) is the toughest endgame challenge in Palworld. Located in the ocean, this multi-level structure is filled with high-level enemies, traps, and powerful bosses. Clearing it rewards you with the best loot in the game, including Legendary Schematics and Large Pal Souls.

How to Get There

Location: Ocean, southwest of the map (near the volcanic area)
Recommended Level: 50-55
Access: You need a flying mount or a water mount to reach the Oil Rig. Jetragon or Frostallion are ideal for the journey.

Look for a large industrial structure in the ocean. There is a landing platform on the top level where you can safely land your mount.

Preparation Checklist

• Armor: Pal Metal Armor or better (Plasteel Armor recommended)
• Weapons: Legendary Rocket Launcher, Legendary Assault Rifle, Legendary Shotgun
• Healing: 20+ high-quality healing potions, 10+ revival potions
• Pals: 5 max-level combat Pals (Jetragon, Frostallion, Shadowbeak, Orserk, Jormuntide Ignis)
• Ammo: 500+ Assault Rifle rounds, 50+ Rocket Launcher shells
• Pal Souls: Max out ATK and DEF on your main combat Pals

Oil Rig Layout

Level 1 — Entry Platform

The top level has a few roaming enemies and some chests. Clear this area quickly and gather any loot. The real challenge is below.

• Enemies: Level 45-48 Syndicate thugs
• Loot: Basic chests with Small/Medium Souls

Level 2 — Main Deck

The middle level is densely packed with enemies. Use cover to avoid being overwhelmed. There are multiple chests scattered around, including one that requires a keycard.

• Enemies: Level 48-50 Syndicate heavy units + Pals
• Loot: Medium/Large Souls, random schematics
• Tip: Clear the sniper positions first before moving through open areas

Level 3 — Lower Deck

The lower level is a maze of corridors and rooms. Enemies come in waves. Take it slow and use your Pals to draw aggro around corners.

• Enemies: Level 50-52 elite enemies
• Loot: Large Souls, keycards for higher-level chests

Level 4 — Boss Arena

The bottom level contains the Oil Rig boss. The boss has multiple phases and is accompanied by elite guards.

• Boss: Level 55 Boss (varies by version)
• Loot: Legendary Schematics, Large Pal Souls, rare crafting materials

Combat Strategies

• Use the environment: The Oil Rig has plenty of cover. Use walls, containers, and pillars to break line of sight.
• Prioritize snipers: Enemies on high platforms deal massive damage. Take them out first.
• Save your Rocket Launcher for bosses: Ammo is limited. Use regular weapons for normal enemies.
• Keep your Pal alive: If your combat Pal goes down, immediately swap to another. A Pal with "Legend" and "Musclehead" passives makes a huge difference.
• Watch for environmental hazards: Some areas have fire, poison gas, or electricity. Avoid standing in these.
