Published: August 16, 2026 ยท Updated: August 16, 2026
Gold and resources are the backbone of progression in Palworld. You need gold to buy ammo, schematics, and rare items from merchants. You need resources to build, craft, and upgrade your equipment. This guide covers the most efficient methods for farming both.
๐ฐ Best Gold Farming Methods
1. Ranch Farming (Passive Income)
Set up Pals in your ranch to produce sellable items. This is the best passive gold income method.
- Woolipop โ Produces Cotton Candy (sells for 200 gold each). Best gold-per-hour ranch Pal.
- Mau โ Produces Gold Coins directly (100-150 gold per drop).
- Mau Cryst โ Produces Gold Coins at a faster rate than Mau.
- Beegarde โ Produces Honey (used for Cake, also sells for decent gold).
Setup: Build a Ranch, assign 2-3 Woolipop or Mau, and collect the items periodically. Sell them to any merchant.
2. Boss Farming (Active Income)
Defeating Alpha Pals and selling their drops is the fastest active gold farming method.
- Alpha Pals: Each defeat drops 500-1000 gold worth of items and schematics
- Dungeon runs: Complete a dungeon in 10-15 minutes for 2000-3000 gold total
- Pal Souls: Extra Small/Medium Pal Souls can be sold to merchants
3. Selling Spheres
Once you have access to higher-tier spheres, you can craft and sell them for profit.
- Giga Spheres: Cost 5 Ingots + 1 Paldium โ sells for 300 gold
- Hyper Spheres: Cost 10 Ingots + 3 Paldium โ sells for 800 gold
โ๏ธ Resource Farming
Ore and Coal
Set up a dedicated mining base at the Sealed Realm of the Frozen Guardian (185, -50).
- Assign Digtoise (Mining 3) and Astegon (Mining 4)
- Build a chest near the mining area
- Collect ore and coal every 30-60 minutes
- Smelt ore into ingots using Jormuntide Ignis (Kindling 4)
Sulfur and Quartz
- Sulfur: Found in the volcanic region (Mount Obsidian). Also purchasable from the Desert Merchant (500 gold per stack).
- Quartz: Found in the Snowy Mountain region. Requires cold-resistant armor to farm efficiently.
- Best method: Set up a small base near the sulfur/quartz nodes with a fast travel point.
Paldium Fragments
- Found on the ground in the starting area
- Drops from mining blue crystals
- Sold by the Traveling Merchant (100 gold each)
High-Quality Pal Oil
- Celaray assigned to a ranch produces High-Quality Pal Oil
- Also drops from catching certain Pals
- Required for Refined Ingots and endgame crafting
๐ Efficient Farming Route
- Morning: Collect from your ranches (Woolipop/Mau). Sell to merchant.
- Day: Run 2-3 dungeons for boss drops and Pal Souls. Smelt all ore into ingots.
- Evening: Check your mining base. Transport ore and coal to main base.
- Night: Hunt Alpha Pals that spawn at night (Frostallion Noct, etc.).
Merchant Locations
- Small Settlement: (0, 500) โ Early game merchant, sells ammo and basic supplies
- Desert Town: (-300, 100) โ Mid-game merchant, sells schematics and sulfur
- Fishing Village: (400, -200) โ Sells rare items and Pal Souls
